ESO Anniversary Event

Five years have come and gone since ESO launched.  Five years of protecting tamriel from daedra and undead and alchemists who turn orcs into monkeys.  We’ve slaughtered mudcrabs and spiders by the dozens, torn the wings off of butterflies and sliced the thorax off of innocent torchbugs – actually, crafting’s kind of dark when you think of the specifics.

Regardless.  It’s been five years.  You know what that means – FIVE WEEKS OF CAKE!

Cake

No.  That cake is not available as a furnishing.

For people who haven’t been around for an anniversary event, the gist is you do daily quests, get jubilee boxes.  This year is a little different for two reasons:

  1. The quests are separated into different weeks.
  2. You can get the Luminous Indrik and event tickets.

  • Getting Started
  • The Weeks and the Daily Quests
  • Event Tickets and Luminous Indrik
  •  Jubilee Boxes
  • The Daily Quests
    • Crafting Writs
    • Delve Quests
    • World Boss Quests
    • PVP Quests
    • Dungeon and Trial Quests
    • All the rest

Getting Started

Go to the crown store and accept the free quest ‘Ache for Cake’. This will tell you to bring provisioning matts to a guy in your faction’s starter city. Don’t be fooled by guild traders – you can find everything you need right near the quest Person. This gives you a fun Jubilee Cake 2019 momento that during the event will give you a double XP buff. This double XP buff stacks with a consumable XP buff.

The Weeks and the Daily Quests

Every time you do a daily quest that fits the description of that week, you get a jubilee box.  Each week starts at 10 am and ends at 9:59 am the day next week starts.  So week one starts on April 4th, at 10 am and ends on April 11th at 10 am.

  • Week One: April 4 at 10:00AM – April 11 at 10:00AM: Crafting Writs – Chance to get the Profit style pages
  • Week Two: April 11 at 10:00AM – April 18 at 10:00AM: Delves and World Bosses – Chance to get Lyris’s style pages
  • Week Three: April 18 at 10:00AM– April 25 at 10:00AM: PVP quests – Chance to get Abnur Tharn’s style pages
  • Week Four: April 25 at 10:00AM – May 2 at 10:00AM: Dungeons and Trials – Chance to get Sai Sahan pages
  • Week Five: May 2 at 10:00AM – May 9 at 10:00AM: Any and all dailies. Chance to get any of the style pages

Event Tickets and Luminous Indrik

Every day after 10 am, use on the Jubilee Cake 2019 momento and then eat a slice of cake.  This will grant you two event tickets.  Over the course of the event, you will be able to obtain a total of 72 tickets.  This is good because this is the only time this year you will be able to evolve your nascent indrik to a Luminous indrik(Details on indriks and indrik evolutions are here).

Also found on the Impresario stock are the Shimmering Indrik pets and individual outfit style pages for the four companion outfit styles.

 Jubilee Boxes

Every time you do a daily quest that qualifies for that week’s theme, you get a jubilee box.  These are shiny happy containers that can contain:

  • Motifs – All motifs currently obtainable outside of the crownstore/other holidays
  • Materials – From furnishing matts to herbs to nirn to gold tempers
  • Furnishing Plans – Including those from Clockwork City and Vvardenfell
  • Transmute Crystals.
  • Four Companion Outfit Styles – exclusive to the anniversary.

How to Tame Your Indrik

aw_crwn_mounts_nascentindrik_1x1

At the end of 2018, Indriks were added into the game through a fairly long event-grind.

Taming your first Indrik

The first indrik someone gets is always the Nascent Intrik(pictured above).  To obtain it, you need to purchase 4 feathers from the Impresario that you then combine to form the Nascent Indrik.  Each feather costs 10 event tickets each, are very pretty, and no are not furnishings in the game.  Damnit ZOS.

Event Tickets

Each day that an ESO event is going on you need to do…something, to obtain tickets.  What you have to do varies from clicking on a cake memento to plumbing the depths of an unknown dungeon through the Dread Dungeon Finder.  The number of tickets you get also varies from one to three.  That being said you only get tickets the first time per day you do the something, and you can only hold up to 12.

Evolving your Indrik

Indrik Evolutions

So you’ve earned event tickets, bought four feathers, and combined them to make Captain Plane-a nascent indrik.  What’s next?  Well, you could keep this one, but it’s kind of dull-looking.  Clearly you need something snazzier.  Introducing:  INDRIK BERRIES!

To start off, there are four evolutions, pictured above.  Once you evolve your nascent indrik, it is gone from your collections and if you want it back you must start the entire feather-collecting again.  Dawnwood was introduced with Quarter One of 2019, Luminous for Quarter Two, Onyx for Quarter Three, and Snow for Quarter Four.  You can only get the berries to evolve them during their quarter and it’s not certain that they will return in 2020.

There for!  Choose which evolution you want, purchase the four unique berries from the Impresario(10 tickets each) and then when you have all four, feed them to your Nascent Indrik.

I repeat:  THIS WILL REMOVE THE NASCENT INDRIK FROM YOUR COLLECTIONS.

BABY INDRIK!!

Yes.  You can get baby indriks.  They are ADORABLE.  Look at this adorable galumph – LOOK AT IT!

Screenshot_20190403_193028

Ahem.  anyways, 10 tickets during the last event of the quarter baby indriks are for sale.  Clearly they’d be better with us than the Impresario.
